Inspired by a recent visit to the beautiful Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia
Aussie Sparkle is a bright pale ale brewed in the spirit of the classic sparkling style from down under. Smooth English yeast character finishes clean and features citrusy, peach and passionfruit notes from Australian Galaxy hops in the aroma and finish.
The Green Dragon Brewers are honored to release this special beer in support of Rogue East Side’s Art Auction for Australia event to benefit the beautiful landscapes and precious wildlife that continue to be devastated by massive, catastrophic wildfires. Descent Into Darkness (2015)

Big Beer Month continues with the last known keg of 2015’s Descent Into Darkness!

This legend from the depths was brewed on Feb 4, 2014 by the Green Dragon Brewers, aged in a Rogue Dead Guy Whiskey barrel, then packaged and left to age in the cellar for almost five years. The time in the cellar has tamed this giant, smoothing out the dark malt’s tannins and mellowing the hops a bit, yet this full bodied, malt driven Russian Imperial Stout still packs a punch at 9.8% ABV.

Enjoy this one as it will be some time before another beer like this comes up!

Rum-Drunk Minotaur (2018)

This is a special beer brewed by all members of Green Dragon Brewing (Rich, Steve, Alex, Warren, Tracy and Dylan) on two back-to-back brew days, December 30th & 31st of 2017. It is a classic Belgian dark strong ale. This special-edition was aged for two months in a Rogue-made, 20 gallon oak barrel with Rogue Dark Rum. It was then cellared and aged for over a year. Look out for the apple, plum and oak flavor characteristics and let it warm you up. Cheers!

Moment of Darkness (2018)

Five malts were blended with the base malt to produce this big, wintery, Russian Imperial Stout. The resulting beer was aged for twenty months to smooth out the bite of the large malt bill and produce this smooth but big ol’ stout for Big Beer Month, 2020. The complexity of the grain bill shines through the smooth magnum hop bitter and results in a meld of chocolate, malt, and a touch of vanilla flavors riding on a backbone of a rich, full bodied stout. Enjoy the complex flavors of this Winter bounty.

Gelber Drache

To start off Big A$$ Beer Month (BABM) 2020, Gelber Drache (Yellow Dragon) is here to bring you warmth, illumination and wealth for the new year. The Sorachi Ace and Citra hops provide a lemony-citrus flavor to this monster. It is big, with a beautiful, long-lasting white head and a lingering bitterness, nicely balanced by the Weyermann pilsner malt.

In Japanese tradition the color yellow symbolizes courage and protection, so don’t be a coward, but enjoy carefully as it is a very powerful beast. Happy New Year!
